My name is Stephen Mount. I am an experienced web developer from Manchester. I have an extensive interest in technology, and also consider myself an audiophile. I have provided many professional value-for-money solutions to schools, small businesses in England, as well as many home computer users.
Small businesses I have worked for include game server providers, web hosts, construction companies, internet e-commerce, engineering companies as well as many small retailers. From basic web designs to full-blown applications include server monitoring, e-commerce systems and custom content management systems. A current project I am working on is a bespoke POS web application that is AJAX driven and optimised for flat touch screen panels.
Why me? I have been developing websites and web applications for multiple years now. I am always interested in clean, optimised web code and I never use proprietary web design software like Dreamweaver, which commonly produce code that is unnecessary and not up to web standards. My web designs are always XHTML/CSS Compliant, which is reassurance that the code used to generate a web page is always up-to-date and works properly in all XHTML compliant web browser.
I develop my websites using an Apple Mac Pro and a Macbook. I test all my websites in browsers from Internet Explorer 6+ to Safari. I use Smultron, Adobe Fireworks CS3, Adobe Illustrator CS3 and Cyberduck to develop sites. I can design sites to specification either scanned or as specified in an e-mail. I am currently the Linux Administrator/Technical Support at Dream Creators Web Solutions, which provides from cPanel web hosting to enterprise-class Zimbra Collaboration Suite e-mail and dedicated servers. I also have strong affiliation with NE Design, which are a small team of graphic designers that produce and suggest company graphics solutions.
